How do I check who else is sharing my home internet wireless access?
I currently have a secure home internet wireless router and the speed goes down sometimes, I would like to check if anyone else is using my connection without my knowledge.
You can check to see how many addresses are being handed out if you AP provides DHCP service. Even if your AP doesnt provide DHCP and someone is just associated to the AP then there should be a screen or some sort of log that shows you who is connected. It will show you the MAC address unless you have some other sort of authentication set up.
If your AP provides firewall service also, then you can check all outgoing connections as they are being built to see where they are going.
